Our Limited stock of GT Hawk Aluminum Rocker Moldings are available in both a freshly anodized bright aluminum showroom finish or in a very limited quantity of matte finished gold for custom use. Both types are of exceptional quality and are intended for 1962-1963 and 1964 GT types but will fit all CK’s from 1953 to 1964. They can also be special ordered for all 1953-1960 sedan types to give your car a very distinct and classy look.

The moldings can also be made to work as side panel trim on ‘56 Hawks. Our Rocker Moldings will also fit a surprising number of modern cars, SUV’s and pickups that have the same approximate rocker height and profile. Late model Cadillac’s, Mustangs and Ford pickups are few examples.

Floor Panels

Our Floor Panels are 22" wide and extend from the firewall seam to the rear seat riser in length. Our die stamped panel is manufactured in heavy 18 gauge steel and now includes the seat anchor plates pre-attached. Note that our Floor Panel thresholds are properly formed and are arched front to rear just like the original floor panel which will allow for proper Rocker Panel placement and the maintenance of original body shape and proper door fit upon completion.

Note also that we have paid close attention to original indent detail which is necessary for a proper repair or restoration. We have used original Studebaker archive prints in order to achieve a high degree of accuracy in our product.

('53-'61 Floor Panels are shown at right) GT Types will have two rectangular stampings toward the rear of each panel instead of the elongated shape shown at the rear of each panel shown on the right.

Body Supports

Our body supports are accurately reproduced in steel heavier than the original. Your original supports may be rusted out or "thinned" or sprung. Thus, your car may be too "flexible" to allow for proper door fit or proper structural rigidity. Installation of new front supports is generally a very wise decision during any restoration.

Pillar Base Supports
(Coupes & Hawks)

The most critically stressed portion of your Studebaker body is the front pillar base area. This area is usually the most seriously weakened part of your car body, being the first area of the floor to rust out. If the pillar base area has disintegrated, the body brace and pillar wing may be supporting nothing.

Sub-Floor Torque Boxes
(GT types only)

The purpose of the torque boxes was to add rigidity to the car body. The boxes attach along the length of the rocker area and also to the underside of the floor panel. Each end is to be capped by body supports which can be ordered separately.

We produce a quality die formed product which maintains original strength and appearance. Produced in original gauge steel.

1953-1961 Sub-Floor Torque Boxes

The Studebaker engineers added torque boxes to the 1953-1964 hardtop types to add rigidity to the body. Without the original boxes your Stude may be somewhat "too flexible" to suit your present day fancy. There is no re-manufacture of the '53-'61 torque boxes because of the complexity of the system and because too little demand exists at this time.

But all may not yet be lost.

The boxes used on pre-GT types were made as a wider box than the GT types. When the GT was developed, the Studebaker engineers used the outboard portion of the earlier box to add some rigidity to the GT body. (note our cross section line drawing below in the CK Rocker and Inner Rocker illustration).

The outboard part of the box which we re-manufacture is the most complex part of the system which would be very difficult for you to hand fabricate. Many of our customers install a GT type box on their earlier Studes and consider the installation adequate. Others install our GT boxes and add a hand fabricated inboard box for a little extra rigidity and a more authentic appearance. The main obstacle to both installations is that the inboard side of our GT box will have to be cut to allow the acceptance of the earlier type center body support, which is different than the GT center support. The modification is easy to do and can be patched and undercoated to look quite presentable.

Many of our customers have done an installation as outlined above with impressive success. (It should be noted that our boxes can be retro-fitted to an already painted vehicle if necessary. All installation can be accomplished unobtrusively with no welding through the use of modern adhesives, metal screws, or pop-rivets).

Add 20% shipping to all orders under $150.00 and 10% to all orders of $150.00 or more for all lower 48 states domestic orders. Personal or company checks are accepted, as are VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Most orders are shipped via UPS. For all UPS domestic C.O.D. orders add 20% to the total.

Non-domestic, Alaskan and/or Hawaiian orders can not be placed on line via our shopping cart. You will not be able to use the cart because the shipping charges on the cart are based on continental US shipping costs. We are unable to predict specific shipping cost for non-domestic order and are thus unable to quote shipping estimates. Shipping Policy

Classic Enterprises is a manufacturing facility and factory direct outlet. We do not maintain a large inventory of any one particular item and thus are not always stocked with all of the items which you may need. Non-inventoried items are made to order in the order in which the order was received.

Normal shipping time from our facility is 7 days or less. Sometimes it may take a week longer for certain items. We ship via UPS or FEDEX Ground, which contrary to legend or exaggeration, can take as long as 7 days for delivery. If your order does not arrive within 20 days of order placement, give us a call and we will check the status of your order or furnish you with a tracking number at that time.
